My Biggest Work-Life Change Yet

I've got an announcement to make...

It's not just a new season around the corner, but an exciting new chapter that I'm excited to share.

I'm pregnant!

That's right, come early January 2024 my husband and I will be welcoming home a baby girl. It's been a wild ride of emotions, from excitement and joy to nervousness and self-questioning all wrapped into one. I've been learning so many new lessons about myself, the women around me, and the process of creativity through this awe-inspiring time. And I know it's just the beginning.

It’s been a different kind of summer, to say the least.

While this experience has had its challenges, especially in the first trimester, I am grateful for the lessons it has taught me and the resilience it's building. I now understand so much is at play beyond the physicality of it all. Pregnancy can take a toll on your mental and emotional health, as with most hard things that are worthwhile, and I also know this experience is not unique to me. So, so many women around us have their own stories to share about pregnancy as a profound journey.

But as of right now, I'm so thankful to be on the other side of the nausea. Having navigated through the haze of the first trimester, around weeks 12-14 I started feeling SO much better and have been able to enjoy an awesome Montana summer of hiking, camping, and staying active. With my energy restored, I'm cherishing every moment and taking it week by week, embracing the growth, both within and around me.

I hope to share more about my experience into motherhood and running a business, but right now, I'm letting it all unfold. And to my mamas out there, your advice is so welcome so please send it my way!

As I prepare for this little lady to arrive, there will be some adjustments to my schedule and availability. Starting in January, I will be taking a maternity leave and will ease back with a modified schedule as I navigate my new role as a mom during this special time. It's because of amazing clients like you that I have been able to grow and thrive in this industry, and I know you will all give me so much support as I figure out what life looks like on the other side.

In the meantime, we business owners are embracing a new season of fall and New Year's Round 2, as I like to call it. I've been able to work with some really cool brands this summer and many of the projects will be launching very soon! Also, I'm still actively taking on projects through the end of the year and have availability to work with a few more brands this fall. If you have any ideas you'd like to discuss or projects you'd like to get off the ground before the holidays, now is the time to do it!

And finally, a few marketing tips I want to share with you. As crazy as it seems, September is all about getting your ducks in a row for the rest of the year and finalizing your holiday marketing campaigns if you plan to do something. So, I wanted to end this email with some helpful resources and a checklist to support you this month. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
