You make money with your words. This is true for any business in any industry. (And I’m not just saying that because I’m a copywriter.)
Your words create your brand. They are your emails, website, social media content, brand collateral, the pitches you make, your customer service, how you talk to people who walk into your business, how you talk to strangers you meet and explain what you do…
All of these need words. Words that build up over time and ultimately create your brand and its personality.
These touchpoints are also examples of the places where it is really important to remain consistent in the way you message the value you offer and how your business does things differently. This is why brand messaging is so important — and why I love it so much. A nice brand design and beautiful images are great. But I believe messaging carries way more weight when it comes to long-term brand building. Ideally, you have both strong visuals and strong messaging. If you’re feeling lackluster about the latter, then it might be time to consider working with a copywriter so you can start making money with your words.
